CORTINA: A new sauna with views out over the Italian Dolomites has opened at a mountain refuge more than 2,750m up in the mountains.
The sauna has been created within the Lagazuoi Refuge (www.rifugiolagazuoi.com), at 2752m, one of the most famous refuges in the Dolomites, and located at the top of one of the world’s great ski run, the Hidden Valley in Cortina d’Ampezo’s Cinque Torri - Lagazuoi sector.
The sauna is available by advance reservation only.
LIVIGNO: A new European Freeride Festival will be staged between 31 January and 4 February next season.
The European Freeride Festival will be open to everyone, say the organisers. Snowboard, ski, telemark, ski touring and further disciplines will be included and everyone from novice to expert will be welcome to take part.

VAL GARDENA: The Adler Mountain Lodge, a ski in/ski out hotel right on the slopes of the Alpe di Siusi which is part of Val Gardena, is now open.
The hotel, in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a central wooden lodge and an arc of 12 small chalets, modelled on old Tyrolean mountain huts.
The interior and exterior have been made entirely of natural mountain wood from the region.
The accommodation offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and guests have access to the spa and wellness facilities, together with a full programme
